IndiaCheapFlights is a small fare desk for people flying out of India. We spend our days watching prices on Indian domestic routes and on the international routes Indians actually fly, and we post the ones that are genuinely low. Every fare is looked at by a person before it goes up.
Why the board is sorted by visa
Most fare sites organise by price alone. That is not how a trip gets decided. A cheap fare to a country that needs an embassy interview is not the same as a cheap fare to Thailand, and a domestic fare is a different decision again. So the board has four buckets: domestic, no visa, e-visa, and visa needed. You can look at the ones you can actually take.
The visa bucket is a guide for Indian passport holders on a normal tourist trip. Rules change, and they can change quickly. Always confirm with the airline or the destination’s official immigration site before you pay for anything non-refundable.
How we decide what counts as cheap
Every route we cover gets a usual price, built from real fares on upcoming departure dates, not from a press release and not from the cheapest fare we happened to see. A fare only earns a post when it is clearly below that usual price, or when it is under a deliberately strict absolute floor for its bucket. If we do not have enough price history for a route, we do not invent a discount: the page simply shows the fare without a “usual price” claim.
That is why some cards carry a percentage and some do not. The percentage only appears when the route has enough real data behind it.
How we write
Plain words. No fake countdowns, no “unbelievable”, no pretending a fare is a mistake when it is just a sale. If a fare may be cancelled by the airline, we say so. You should be able to read a post in thirty seconds and know what you are buying into.
Corrections
Fares move by the minute, so a page can age badly. That is the nature of the subject, not an error in the writing. If something on a page is factually wrong, tell us on Telegram and we will fix it.
How we make money
Some of the links on this site are affiliate links. If you book a flight through one of them, the airline or its partner pays us a small commission, at no extra cost to you. That is the whole business model. We do not sell tickets, we are not affiliated with any airline, and a commission never decides what gets posted. A fare makes the desk because it is good, or it does not make it at all.
Who we are
Elin Marsh runs editorial and reads everything twice.
Ravi Iyer keeps the route histories and knows which airlines do what on Indian routes.
Marta Silva handles replies and corrections.
Tom Beckett books most of these fares personally, because somebody has to. That is the whole qualification.
