This desk is small on purpose, which keeps the amount of information we hold small too. Here is the whole of it.
What we collect
If you create an account, we keep the username you picked and the email address you gave us. That is all. The address is used for the weekly shortlist and for replies when you write to us. If you turn on fare alerts, your browser also gives us a push subscription token, which is a long string that identifies your browser and nothing else. We do not know who you are, only which browser asked to be told about fares.
Every visit produces a normal web server log line, an IP address and the page you asked for. We keep those for a short while because they are how we notice something broken. They are not used to build a profile of you.
What we do not do
We do not sell or share your details. We do not run advertising trackers, we do not embed third party analytics, and we do not put advertising on this site. There is no cookie that follows you around the internet from here.
We do not use your data to decide which fares to post. A commission from a booking link never affects what goes on the board.
Cookies
Only the ones the site needs to work: a cookie that keeps you logged in, and one that remembers that you dismissed the banner at the top of the page. If you turn on fare alerts, the browser keeps a small token so it can receive them. There is no advertising cookie on this site.
Leaving
Every shortlist email ends with an unsubscribe link, and it takes you off the list on the spot, no questions and no email address required. If you would rather not have an account at all, write to us and we will remove it.
The board and the Telegram channel stay open to everyone, whether or not you ever sign up.
Questions
